Richmond, VA – The Virginia Legislative Black Caucus sent the below letter to Governor Ralph Northam. In this letter the VLBC expresses grave concerns with reopening Virginia’s economy too soon under Phase One of the “Forward Virginia” plan. VLBC also asks that the Governor respond to our concerns with an equity-focused plan, that clearly addresses disparities for Black Virginians, Virginians of Color, and other underserved and vulnerable communities.
